Account Placement
When servers are connected, the Add User form on the master asks: Which server should the account be created on?
Panel location
Users › Create Userhttps://YOUR-SERVER-IP:8443/users/createThe choices
| Choice | Result |
|---|---|
| Default | The account is created on this panel, as always |
| A specific server | The account is created on that server, with that server's plans; its role and IP address are set by that server |
| Automatic | The master picks the most suitable server and shows which one before you save |
Each candidate shows its disk use, RAM use and account count, so the choice can be checked against the numbers.
How Automatic chooses
- Servers that cannot take a new account are skipped, each with its reason: Maintenance, Not accepting, Not responding, No data yet or Disk nearly full (above the server's disk threshold).
- The remaining servers are ranked by disk use plus RAM use; the one with the most free room wins.
- On a tie, the server with fewer accounts wins.
CPU is left out on purpose: it changes from second to second and would make the choice random. If no server is suitable, the form says so.
