Manage a Server From the Master

Panelica 1.0.551 Verified 2026-10-15 Multi-Server

A server connected with Full management can be managed inside the master window. The pages are the same panel pages you already know; while a server is selected, they work on that server.

Switching to a server

  • Open the server switcher at the top of any page and choose the server, or
  • click Manage here on its row in the server list, or
  • click a page shortcut on its server page.

A colored bar at the top of the window then reads "You are managing server from this window", with Back to the main panel. Every browser tab keeps its own choice, so two tabs can manage two different servers at the same time.

What works on the selected server

Domains, email, DNS, SSL, the file manager, terminal, SSH, services, logs, updates, the firewall, Fail2ban, ModSecurity, antivirus and the Security Advisor, together with the rest of the panel's pages. Links, file downloads, phpMyAdmin, webmail and other pages that open in a new tab go to the selected server, not to the master.

Your own login, profile and the Servers module always stay on the master.

When a server's pages open in a new tab instead

Situation What happens
The server allows only Limited management Its pages open in its own panel in a new tab, already signed in. Allow Full management on it under Panel Settings › Master Connection to manage it in the master window
The server runs an older Panelica Its pages open in its own panel; update it to manage it in the master window
The server is not answering Its pages cannot be opened until it responds again

Good to know

  • "Log in as user" is not available while another server is managed from the master window; use that server's own panel for it.
  • The panel port of a server cannot be changed from the master window, because a new port would cut the master's connection to it.
  • Changes made from the master window are recorded in the task history.
